505 rounds of ammunition are recovered by troops when they apprehend a female accomplice and firearms courier in Plateau state

Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully apprehended a female firearms courier, Mrs. Fidausu Hassan and her accomplice at a motor park in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The Army in a statement at the weekend said troops recovered 505 rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition from the suspects.
“On 17 October 2024, working alongside other security agencies, troops trailed and arrested a female firearms courier and her accomplice at Barikin Ladi Motor Park in Plateau State,” the statement read.
“Intelligence had revealed that this gun-running syndicate was smuggling arms from Plateau to terrorists in Zamfara State.
“The operation led to the arrest of Mrs. Fidausu Hassan and Mr. Sani Isah Musa, from whom the troops recovered 505 rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition.”
