Before the Super Eagles’ match against South Africa in the Africa Cup of Nations Semifinals, news sources state that coach Jose Peseiro has given his team a daily directive to turn off their cell phones at nine o’clock.
This directive comes after some of the players were seen playing the
game ‘Call of Duty’ on X.
According to reports, Peseiro made the call in order to keep his players focused and prevent distractions before their pivotal Africa Cup of Nations semi-final matchup against South Africa on Wednesday, February 7 at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake.
According to a camp source who spoke to the publication, “the players have been told to put off their phones from 9pm to rest well and avoid distractions of any form by the coach.”
“The coach has also avoided speaking with the media as he gets ready for the South Africa game.”
