APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has asked singer, Davido to retract his statement about the Nigerian economy being in Shambles.

Davido was a guest on a Radio programme in the U.S. last week where he asked Nigerians living in the county not to leave following Trump’s victory in the presidential 2024 election.

According to the singer, the Nigerian economy is in shambles at the moment, so staying in America would be a better option.

‘Leave America and go where? Go back where? It’s not cool back home. My country now, the economy is in shambles. ’tThe exchange rate is messed up. Alot of stuff not going well. The economy is not just good anymore. The pil prices are too high. Imagine a country that produces oil. We produce the oil and we paying more money for oil than a country that imports the oil” he said

However, Igbokwe has picked fault in Davido’s comment, saying that the singer should retract his statement as soon as possible because Nigeria “made” him.
