A former Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Chief Accountant, Malam Kawu Chindo has been jailed Seven years along with a support staff from the State’s Accountant General’s Office, Malam Ali Baba.

The Buachi Division of the Federal High Court found both men guilty of financial misappropriation brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Gome Zonal Office.
They were charged with embezzling public funds to the tune of Seventy Three Million and Seven Hundred Thousand Naira (N73.7Million). They were both sentenced to respective prison terms of seven years and three month each.
