She previously publicly declared that she was ‘here to help’ Republicans understand LBGTQ issues.
And Caitlyn Jenner stayed true to her word as she attended the Liberty Ball for Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration in Washington DC on Friday.
The 67-year-old transgender star looked effortlessly elegant in a slinky floor-length navy gown that featured a ruffled one-shoulder neckline.
Echoing her glamorous gown, the former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wore her brown hair in polished waves.
She framed her hazel eyes with a smokey shadow and opted for a nude lip to complete the look.
Complementing her floor-sweeping navy dress, Caitlyn added a vivid blue snakeskin clutch.
Jenner, who received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award from ESPN in 2015, was one of the few celebrities in attendance when The Celebrity Apprentice host was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
She tweeted on Wednesday ahead of the ball: ‘Republicans need help understanding LGBTQ issues and I’m here to help!’
Trump’s team has had a famously difficult time locking down big names to fill the crowd.
Others of note tied to the ceremony include God Bless The U.S.A. singer Lee Greenwood, country artist Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, former America’s Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Radio City Rockettes.
Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight, who like Caitlyn is an outspoken Hollywood Republican, will also be present at the proceedings.
Caitlyn, on her now-canceled E! spin-off show I Am Cait, had past criticized Hillary Clinton, while she said that Trump ‘seems to be very much for women’ in a June 2016 interview with STAT.
She praised Trump last year for condemning a North Carolina law that relegated transgender people to only using bathrooms of their birth gender. Trump told the TODAY show in April that Caitlyn would be free to use whatever bathroom she prefers in any of his buildings.
‘He seems very much behind the LGBT community because of what happened in North Carolina with the bathroom issue; he backed the LGBT community’ said Caitlyn, who’s also expressed interest in acting as a trans ambassador for the party.
