Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has stated that his job is the second most hardest on Earth.
Cardoso remarked on Sunday, February 18, during the opening of the 2024 First Plenary Assembly of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), that the Federal Government’s reforms and other actions are “paying off.”
Cardoso, the event’s chairman, went on to say that there is light at the end of the tunnel. He said:
“I will recall that, despite being the second most hardest job on the earth, this is truly memorable.
“As a result of recent CBN reports, around $1.8 billion entered the markets over the last week.
“As long as the country can sustain a positive trajectory, Nigeria will get out of its economic woes and the foreign exchange market will begin to moderate itself.”
