As at the time of report, Eighteen civilians has reportedly been killing in and others left with severed injuries when an army truck crashed into a minibus in Amhara state, northern Ethiopia.
Despite having one of the world’s lowest per capita car ownership rates, deadly accidents are common in Ethiopia and often blamed on poor roads and car maintenance and lax enforcement of safety rules.
