A 34-year-old Nigerian woman has been arrested by Versova police in Mumbai, India, for allegedly possessing cocaine worth over N254 million.

The suspect, identified as Yenna Christina Idowu, was spotted by Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) officers exhibiting suspicious behavior around 3 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, in the Old MHADA area of Andheri West.

Upon conducting a search of her bag in the presence of a female officer, the police discovered 30 capsules containing 418 grams of cocaine, estimated to be worth Rs1.42 crore.

During interrogation, she disclosed that she hails from Ondo State, Nigeria, but currently resides in Noida, New Delhi.

Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the full extent of the drug network, including the intended recipient of the narcotics and the source of the supply.

A formal complaint has been filed against the Nigerian woman under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. She is currently in police custody as further legal proceedings are underway.
