A woman identified as Mrs Oguese has been paraded naked in Aguleri, the home town of outgoing Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano.
The woman’s ordeal is tied to the issue of sex. There are two stories making the rounds. One of them is that her husband’s brothers accused her of killing the husband through adultery, while the other one is that she is being accused of killing her husband through sex overdose.
In a trending video, the frightened woman is seen naked, cowering in a room and close to her husband’s dead body. News Express is unable to publish the photo as it has a policy of not publishing dead bodies and nude images.
“The embattled woman was paraded across the entire town naked,” lamented an eye witness, who said that the parade took place on Saturday evening.
“SADLY, Governor WILLIE OBIANO is from Aguleri and he has watched his kinsmen carry out the worst form of servitude and dehumanisation since yesterday while his wife is busy trumpeting her women empowerment in Anambra,” the complainant said on a WhatsApp forum. “The best the government can do to resuscitate this woman is to look for her, fly her with her children to a different environment in Europe or America and work on her pysho-social health,” he added.
Latest reports indicate that the Anambra State Police Command has rescued the woman and launched in investigation into the incident.
