Victor Osimhen, a Napoli and Super Eagles striker, describes Rema as ‘one of the biggest artistes in the world’.
In a recent interview with CBS Sports Golazo, Osimhen spoke about the global popularity of Afrobeats.
The 25-year-old praised Rema as “one of the biggest artistes in the world right now,” comparing him to Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido.
He also listed Omah Lay, Seyi Vibez, and Asake, who are “also on the rise” in terms of international recognition.
“Aside from Wizkid and Davido, we have Asake, Seyi Vibez, and Omah Lay. We also have Rema, who is currently one of the world’s most successful artists,” Osimhen remarked.
“Rema is there, but these boys I’ve named Omah Lay, Seyi Vibez, and Asake are also rising. I believe they will be as successful as Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy in a few years.
