Following last week’s rescue of the students and employees of the Nigerian Turkish International College (NTIC) in Ogun State, the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) yesterday arrested two more suspects and recovered N3 million.

The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Egbasimokumo Ayeomi, a native of Arogbo Town and 21-year-old Super Alex of Opugba Town, both from Eseodo Local Council of Ondo State.

Led by the IRT boss, Abba Kyari, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, the suspects were rounded up at the Ikorodu area of Lagos. They were arrested after they had stepped out of the creeks to move to Ondo State with their share of the loot.

Already, the duo have confessed to the kidnapping of the schoolgirls and many other kidnappings within Lagos and Ogun states.
A police source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the arrest was based on intelligence gathering and clear-cut technology that tracked the mobile phones and bank details of the suspect.

According to the source, the suspects are already giving useful information to the police, which will lead to the arrest of more suspects.
