Once more, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited is urging drivers to avoid making rash purchases of the commodity. NNPC stated that it currently has over 1.5 billion liters of PMS in storage, which is sufficient for more than 30 days, in a statement issued today by Olufemi Soneye, its chief corporate communications officer.
‘’The NNPC Ltd. is also collaborating with relevant downstream agencies, such as the Nigeran Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), labour unions in the sector and security operatives, to address hoarding and other unwholesome practices.” the statement in part reads
Nigerians have suffered fuel scarcity in the last three weeks. The fuel queues are however thinning out.
