The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said on Monday that it rejects US President Donald Trump’s promise to move the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Israel’s annexation of Jerusalem is not recognised by any country as having any legal status, despite its claims that the city is the “undivided” capital city of the Zionist state.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Culture and Information Adel Toraifi insisted that the kingdom rejects any move that would “undermine” the Palestinians’ right to full sovereignty over the city of Jerusalem as the capital of their state.
“The Saudi cabinet condemns unequivocally all illegal settlement activities by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories,” said Toraifi said after a cabinet meeting chaired by the Saudi monarch, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz.
