In Jega Local Government Area, Kebbi State, a fire outbreak claimed the lives of a couple and their three-month-old child.
It was learned that on Wednesday night, February 7, 2024, a fire destroyed the home of the man known as Musibau Abubakar, his wife, and their daughter.
Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the governor of Kebbi State, has contributed N50 million to traders whose stores were destroyed by fire in Jega last month, and N10 million to Musibau’s family.
On Thursday, February 8, Gov. Idris made the donation while paying a sympathy visit to the deceased’s family and the scene of the market fire.
“N10 million is for the family that lost their lives, and N50 million is for the people whose stores burned down on January 16, 2024. The Governor prayed, “At this point, I want to pray to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Firdaus.”
The governor instructed friends and relatives to always remember the departed in their prayers for God Almighty to have mercy on their souls, characterizing the fire as an act of God Almighty that nobody had the right to criticize.
