Wanted Prime suspect in the murder of Rivers DPO feared killed
Gift David Opara, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in command of Ahoada Police Division in Rivers State’s Ahoada-East local government area, has been assassinated in connection with the murder of SP Bako Angbashim.
According to leadership, Opara, also known as 2-Baba, who has been sought since September 2023, was allegedly murdered following a gunfight with State Police Command agents on Saturday in the Idu-Ekpeye town of Ahoada-East LGA.
However, Grace Iringe-Koko, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), has yet to issue an official statement confirming or denying the development.
