When a scan revealed an entire mouse inside a patient’s esophagus, medical professionals were taken aback.
A CT scan of the patient, who was in need of medical attention, revealed a foreign body with varying densities of bone and soft tissue. As it happened, there was a mouse within the man. The body and tail of the mouse were positioned at the thoracic and cervical levels, respectively, and the esophagus displayed mild edematous alterations with a thicker wall.
Medicaltalks claims that the man swallowed the mouse after two pals placed a wager.
During the procedure, the mouse was effectively removed. The mouse sadly did not survive, but the patient was lucky to live.
