The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, formerly known as the Kano State University of Science and Technology Wudil, is creating a robotic device that will allow employees to perform household tasks like cleaning,
sweeping, and knighting within the establishment.
The university’s vice chancellor, Professor Musa Yakasai, informed reporters that the robotic device will help the employees carry out their responsibilities as best they could.
According to him, the institution’s management has made significant progress in utilizing AI and IT to enable students to properly exploit technology and participate in the global IT revolution.
He said that the robot had previously undergone testing and was operating just as intended.
He indicated that in order to lessen the institution’s workload, the university will build as many different kinds of machines as possible.
According to the vice chancellor, the recently rebuilt library could accommodate more than 500 students and was completely connected to the internet and other IT resources.
Although the institution has established a fully operational e-library, Professor Yakasai advised students to stick with the traditional library system in order to promote a better reading culture.
