The kidnappers of the passengers aboard the God Is Good Motors (GIGM) and ABC Transport buses have freed their hostages in Kogi State.
Last Friday, February 2, near Inyenle Eteke, Ogugu, Olamaboro LGA of Kogi State, fourteen passengers were kidnapped. They were traveling from the East to Abuja in two separate busses.
The Nigeria Police Force’s Kogi State Command said that all of the captives have been freed.
On Thursday, February 8, the hostages’ release was announced by SP William Aya, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
He did not, however, clarify if security saved the victims or if a ransom was paid before they were released.
“Just been informed by the DPO that all the kidnapped victims of God is Good Motors and ABC regained their freedom,” Aya stated.
