The Benue State Police Command has launched an investigation after discovering the remains of an unidentified young woman in a Makurdi waste dump.
SP Catherine Anene, the state Police Public Relations Officer, stated: “We have already launched an investigation into the situation.
“The identity of the victim is still unknown.”
She stated that the command would go to any length to find out what caused her death.
According to NAN, the corpse discovered on Sunday was bound, placed in a sack, and dumped near Iorapuu Adai Street in the Nyima Hudco Quarters of Makurdi.
The Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency and the Benue Police Command revealed in July 2023 that a woman named Dorcas Shangev was discovered dead with some of her body parts missing 24 hours after her birthday.
Our source then added that the lady, who is said to be in her 30s, used to live at the Owner Occupier in the state capital’s Makurdi metropolis.
A month before, Oliver Vershima, a catechist from St. Martins Parish, Mbape in Adikpo deanery, Kwande Local Government Area, Benue State, was claimed to have fled after being caught with a lady’s corpse.
